Studies of Semantics:

We are currently involved in a number of different projects to study semantics. These include such things as

  1. effects of imageability on semantic processing
  2. contributions of perceptual features to semantic processing
  3. studies of metaphor processing
  4. sentential level semantics

Research Highlight

The figure below shows the areas of the cortex that are significantly more active for
(A) concrete and (B) abstract words when compared to nonwords. (from JCN, 2005).
