Background and Interests:
I am a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist who focuses on understanding language organization and reorganization after neural injury. My work centers around cross-disciplinary projects that combine well-controlled behavioral assessments, neuroimaging data (fMRI, LSM), high-definition electrical stimulation, and empirically supported speech therapy interventions to advance the treatment of language disorders. My clinical practice focuses on individuals post-stroke or with neurodegenerative conditions. I also co-direct the Intensive Program for Aphasia Therapy with Dr. Jeffrey Binder, lead a multi-disciplinary stroke clinic, and facilitate a community communication support group for patients with aphasia and their caregivers.
